Principal's Report

We’ve had a great week to start off the final marking period.

On Monday a monitor from the state spent time in our Café reviewing our lunch procedures. Congratulations to Mrs. McGinnis, we passed with flying colors.

Our seniors took a mini-field trip to Shore Beauty School. Its great to see what post high school graduation opportunities are in our own backyard.

We had a bunch of undersized students in the classrooms this week as we participated in Take your child to work day. Thanks to Mrs. Joline, Mrs. Russo, Mr. Collesano & Mr. Eisenlohr for livening up the place!

Mr. Kertz and his science classes treated us to exciting rocket launches (video link below). This design-building activity culminated in a very exciting 6th period on Thursday. Most of the rockets although surviving lift-off, did not survive the impact of the landing. The lone exception is the one that you can still see on the Northwest corner of the roof! Anybody have a really tall ladder?

I’m sure next week will be just as exciting.

If you saw the SpaceX Starship rocket explosion last week, you know that launching rockets can be difficult. But here at Eagle Academy, it is business as usual! Enjoy this video of Mr. Langhurst (and Jack) successfully launching student-made rockets (nearly) into the stratosphere!

Eagle students took a tour of the Shore Beauty School campus this week to learn about cosmetology and other career opportunities.

Bring Your Child to Work Day!

Eagle Academy got a little younger this week as Mrs. Joline, Mr. Collesano, Mr. Eisenlohr, and Mrs. Russo all brought their children to work for a fun visit! The kids especially enjoyed the gym, and got to enjoy the rocket launches at the end of the day, as well!
