Principal's Corner- October 20, 2026

Hoco 2026 was a success. Albeit a short week, it was jam packed with festivities and mums galore! Between the game and the dance, there was tons of Husky fun.

All NSITE 9th grade students and 10th and 11th grade students who registered will take the PSAT tomorrow. They should have a fully charged laptop and they should bring their charging cord as well.

Congratulations to Bella Adams, our boys Cross Country team, and the Husky Band for some outstanding performances this week! Our Husky Band earned all 1s at Regional UIL. All have advanced to the next level of competition.

Ongoing Reminders

Cell Phones

Phones and personal communication devices must be put away and not used during the entire school day. (8:50-4:20) If headphones or earbuds are visible, phones will be confiscated as well. This rule applies to:

  • Classrooms

  • Hallways

  • Passing periods

  • Lunch

If a phone is confiscated, parents/guardians listed in the system are the only ones who are capable of picking up the phone from the Holmes front office.

IDs

A valid student ID is required to enter a secure building. You MUST have a student ID every day and it should be visible while on campus.

Students, please DO NOT bang or kick on exterior doors to be let into a building. This can cause damage to our doors and our campus—and could also result in costly repairs. which you will be responsible for. Knocking on exterior doors is disruptive to the students who arrived on time.

Find an administrator or staff member to open the door for you.

Campus Visitors

Parents, guardians, and visitors are required to present a state issued ID to enter the front office and conduct school business. Please make sure you have your ID.
