A Message About Heat Advisory

Berkeley County Schools continues to monitor the heat advisory in affect for our area through 7:00 pm this evening.

Schools have been advised to avoid outdoor activities, including recess and physical education, and encourage students to stay hydrated while remaining in air-conditioned spaces.

Buses will have their windows down to keep air circulating and students will be allowed to have water bottles.

Please watch for updates from your student's school regarding any changes to afternoon or evening athletic activities. All schools are following recommendations for heat illness prevention by the National Federation of State High School Association's Sports Medicine Advisory Committee.
