Peterborough Elementary School
September 7, 2024
Dear PES Families,
Our second week of school was another success!
Students are beginning to establish their routines and really settle into the school year. This week, I saw them creating “All About Me” pictures, practicing math facts, and participating in morning meetings! We also had The Harris Center and Cornucopia Project here to do lessons in grade 2 and 3, some pictures are below. During our all-school meeting we discussed important safety protocols for the halls and recess. We also conducted our first fire drill this week. I’m pleased to report that the students did an excellent job of evacuating the building and following instructions.
Just a quick reminder: there will be no school on Tuesday, September 10th due to a professional development day for our staff.
Enjoy the weekend,
Tammy

Pick Up Patrol
Please use Pick Up Patrol to communicate your child's absences and dismissal changes. If you have a last minute change and it is after 3:15, we ask that you wait in our parent pick up line, the office gets very busy at the end of the day and it can be difficult to respond to last minute dismissals, thank you for your understanding!
🚌 Arrival and Dismissal Procedures 🚌
Reminders:
- You can drop off your student in the loop in the front of the school AND on the side of the building as you are driving up
- Please do not park in the first row of the parking lot during dismissal time, this blocks the road and doesn't allow for busses to get through the line.
- Preschool Drop off starts at 8:45, this allows for busses to get through without getting blocked, please do not drop off prior to this time!
