Hey Bobcat Nation,

It has been another busy week here at GBS. As we move farther into the fall, we begin to see the changes of the leaves, the end of fall sports, and the seeking of micro and macro invertebrates at different bodies of water in the area. Needless to say, it has been a great week with a lot of great photos of the different happenings below. Be sure to check it out!

Winter sports sign ups are still open. We offer girls basketball, boys basketball, cheer, and wrestling during the winter. Students are also able to sign up in the cafeteria during lunches, but the form below will help us keep track of all the important information.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week which is the nations largest and longest running drug abuse prevention program. We will have a couple of small activities here at the school for students to participate in such as a guest from Reality Check who will be in the lunchroom, a school wide "Wear Red" campaign, and a little swag for students to take home.

Have a great weekend!

Around the Bobcat World Around the Bobcat World

This week our 7th and 8th grade students had the opportunity to go and discover micro and macro invertebrates at McCabe Forrest and Gregg Lake. They discovered and will be analyzing the information to help them to determine the health of the two different bodies of water from the different samples they took.

Students in Mr. Cogan's choir sing blindfolded to help boost their confidence.

Today 7th graders took a flight to India where they sampled snacks and tea from the culture. They then had a visit from Rudyard Kipling who discussed his life, writing and connections to Vermont and other literary figures

Here are a few action photos from the VEX Robotics club the other afternoon. They are preparing to represent GBS in a variety of different competitions this year.

7th graders finished up a Jack London unit in the most delicious way- making candy fires! Survival and safety can also be a yummy treat.
