I trust that you all had a fantastic break and are ready for our spring semester! We have so many fun things to look forward to! We have Kids Heart Challenge in January/February. Our PTO will host an adult event in February and of course, our Valentine's Class Parties on February 12th! We are excited to welcome Nurse Anna Drummond to our CES staff. Anna is a registered nurse who has experience at one of our district elementaries. We are excited she decided to move back from Florida. We will miss Nurse Stickane but are thrilled to have found a nurse who is familiar with CISD!

Board President Cam Bryan celebrated several major District accomplishments, including the Boys Cross Country State Championship, a strong football season that concluded in the state semifinals, and Carroll Senior High School’s successful TEA intruder audit under the leadership of Principal Shatina Lewis. He also highlighted the BRAC Tiger Team's recommendations as part of responsible, long-term planning for the District.

Thank you so much for doing your best to get your students to school on time each day. We know traffic has been challenging lately, and we truly appreciate your continued effort.

Beginning in January, our staff will come in at 7:35 so they can be ready to welcome and support students by 7:40. Our doors will remain open until 7:40; however, if you arrive after that time, please park and walk your child into the office. Please DO NOT drop your child off if the door has been closed. This helps us ensure the safety of every student. To help the morning run smoothly, if no adult is available to open your car door, please encourage your child to exit the vehicle on their own. This small step really speeds up the line and keeps things moving. ( On occasion if there is a bus not running or an accident that backs up our line, we will keep that in mind.) Please DO NOT drop your children off before 7:20. At 7:20 the cafe doors will open. Please have your children stay in your car until we are able to supervise. Also, if you are here after 7:40, we ask that you walk your child in and sign them in for the day. We really appreciate your cooperation with this safety procedure.

1. The CES school zone times are from 7:10 -7:50 am & 2:50 – 3:30 pm

During this time the posted speed limit is 20 mph and cell phone use is posted on multiple signs to be prohibited. Please abide by this as citations can and will be issued for violations.

2. When lining up for dismissal Pre K and last names A-J proceed in the right lane to the back parking lot to line up. Last names K-Z will line up serpentine through the front / north parking lot. Please DO NOT leave large spaces between cars, we are stacking as many cars as possible for efficient pick up in the carpool lines and to eliminate traffic on Continental.

3. There is NO PARKING ever in the fire lanes, especially during large school events!
