As we welcome the new year, the Counseling Department remains busy supporting students across all grade levels. Our seniors are finalizing college applications and celebrating acceptances, while academic scheduling for the upcoming school year is on the horizon. Scheduling decisions will take into account multiple measures, which may include, but are not limited to, student grades, the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA), IXL (a nationally normed diagnostic assessment), PSAT results, and attendance.

Recently, Williamson College of the Trades visited to speak with our junior and senior boys, and our high school counselors accompanied students on a visit to Pennco Tech to explore additional postsecondary trade pathways. We also held grade-level meetings to introduce Clayful to students as a valuable resource to support mental wellness, offering on-demand coaching, engaging curriculum, and actionable insights.

As midterms quickly approach, we encourage students and families to prioritize strong attendance and consistent academic effort, as both play a critical role in student success.

They also contribute enrichment items to animal shelters and organize food and clothing drives through local churches. Through these efforts, and many others, students demonstrate leadership, compassion, and a strong commitment to service
