As this 2022-2023 school year comes to an end, I want to take time to thank each and every one of you! As a campus, we appreciate you! All the help and support you have provided this year has not gone unnoticed! We have opened our doors for so many events and you have come and shown your child and us your support! Thank you so much!

Good afternoon, Lion Family!

I truly hope that you have all had a great weekend! We are down to the last week of the 22-23 school year. This week will be busy.

Thank you to so many of you who came out for the final orchestra, band and choir concerts. Each one was amazing! It was easy to see how much work has gone into their learning this year with those performances! I also saw many of you out supporting our athletes as they finished out their seasons. It has been an amazing year on the courts, on the course, on the fields and on the stage!!! I am so proud of our school and the students who represent the Hill!

• Field Day -students need to be in dress code (if possible, 6th graders wear a red shirt, 7th graders wear a green shirt, & 8th graders wear a blue shirt)

Thursday, May 25th:

• Last day of school - early out at 1:30 pm
• 8th graders should dress for success for the 8th grade Celebration
• 8th grade Celebration - 9:00 am in the LHMS Gymnasium

Summer School – You will be notified by Friday of this week if your student needs to attend summer school. Registration is online this year, and the QR code at the end of this newsletter is your link for online registration. Follow the “Credit Recovery” link. Note: Summer School (Credit Recovery) registration will not be open until May 27th. Transportation, times, classes, and meal information can be found on the website.

Summer Camps – If students are not attending summer school, they can attend one of the many summer camps KISD has to offer. If you are interested, please scan the QR code below. Follow the “Free Secondary Camps (Middle & High School) link.

Free Summer Meals – Beginning Monday, June 5th, KISD is offering free breakfast and lunch for children and teens ages 18 and younger, and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old. Information can be found by following the QR code below.

Registration for 2023-2024 School Year – Please complete registration as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact the counselor’s office at 254-336-1379.
