KMS NEWSLETTER

Dear Kodiak Middle School Families,
Welcome to a new school year at Kodiak Middle School! We are excited to begin this journey together and look forward to the opportunities ahead for our students, families, and staff.
This year, our district theme is Believe. At KMS, we believe in the potential of every student, the power of learning, and the strength of our school community. We know that middle school is a time of growth and discovery, and we are committed to supporting each student as they take on new challenges and reach for their goals.
The KMS core values are Respect, Integrity, Citizenship, and Kindness. These values help us create a safe, positive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered. Together, we will work to model these qualities every day, both in and out of the classroom and we invite you incorporate these values at home as well.
Thank you for your partnership as we start this school year with enthusiasm and purpose. We are grateful for the trust you place in us to educate and care for your children. Let’s make this a year filled with growth, connection, and success.
Please read through the important updates and general information about Kodiak Middle School on the next page. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 907-486-7460.
Warm regards,
Rena Rankin, Principal
Judith Bruns, Assistant Principal
