Principal's Update

Western Center families and friends,

Mock Interviews were held last week. It was nice to see our Seniors take part in this event. It is great practice for students to interview with representatives from their program industry.

Be sure to check out the long list of scholarships being offered near the end of this newsletter. Some have deadlines that are approaching soon. Take advantage of the these generous scholarships.

The New Student Application continues to be open on our website. We encourage anyone interested in attending WMCTC to apply. Deadline is March 15, 2026.

Our Facebook page (link below) has many posts featuring students doing interesting things in their programs. You may even find a WMCTC alum being featured. Check us out. Better yet, follow us on Facebook to be sure you don't miss any of the feature stories.

Have a nice weekend.

Thank you to all of the employers who devoted their time to interview our Seniors. This process would be impossible without their support.

Exciting News!

Please see the message below from our chefs! This is a great opportunity for Callie and any support you can provide is appreciated!

We are excited to share some great news from the WMCTC Culinary program. One of our students, Callie Nissley, has been selected as one of the seven semifinalists in the Ann B. Zaukaukis Beyond Cooking Food Styling Competition through C-CAP.

Callie created an Apple, Brie & Bacon Pie, and her dish is now part of the People’s Choice Award voting on Instagram. We would love your help supporting her.

How you can help:

Visit the voting post using the link below

Vote by commenting “#3” Callie Nissley – Apple, Brie & Bacon Pie

Important details:

• One vote per person

• Voting closes March 18 at 11:59 PM PST

Our students work incredibly hard on opportunities like this, and it means a lot when the WMCTC community gets behind them. Thank you for helping us support Callie and showcase the great work our students are doing.

Share the post and, if possible, encourage your students to vote as well to help spread the word.
