4-H Blast
October 1st, 2026
We've reached that time of year again when we can celebrate 4-H members, not just in Nebraska, but across the United States! It's National 4-H Week! Help us celebrate by taking part in a variety of events throughout the week!
MONDAY - Go Green for 4-H! Show your pride and support by pulling out your favorite, green clothing items and accessories! Show off your spirit online or tag York County Extension in your pictures.
TUESDAY - Throwback Thursday! We want to see your favorite fair pictures! Have any banner pictures from yesteryear? Post them! Do you still remember your favorite item you baked for the judge? Tag us! Not a 4-H alumni of York County? That's okay! We would love to see all of your favorite 4-H memories! Share some of your favorite photos, and you might just see it on a new backdrop for next year's fair!
WEDNESDAY - Why 4-H Wednesday! What made you decide 4-H was for you? Your parents may have brought you to a meeting, sure. But what made you stay? 4-H Online is not quite open, yet. But we want others to hear why they should also look into becoming 4-H members. We have a goal of having 50 youth enrolled by October 31st; will you be one of them?
THURSDAY - Thankful Thursday! 4-H would not be the organization it is today with out the MANY volunteers, sponsors, and donors that we have. Who was someone that was influential along your journey this past year? Was there someone who helped support you along the way? Reach out and find a way to say 'Thank you!' Give them a call, write them a note, or send them a message! We have thank you cards in the office; drop by to write a thank you to one of our many fair sponsors this week! We will do the mailing for you!
FRIDAY - Fun Fact Friday! Be watching our Facebook page on Friday for some fun facts about 4-H shared throughout the day! You might be surprised what you find out!
Are you planning to drop by Casey's for some pizza or gas this week? Round up your purchase or add a donation through the app, to help support 4-H!
4-H Achievement Night
All 4-H families and friends are welcome to join us for a night of celebrating the 2026 4-H year! We will have food, fun, and awards! We will be doing a Pizza, Puzzle and Lemonade night! Please make sure to RSVP at the following link or click on the image above.
Rules are simple:
1. Fill out the form as a family to fill in a table or as a pre-assigned table of 8.
2. The form asks for your choice flavor of pizza. This will be the pizza your table will eat. We will provide gluten free options as needed; alternative items will be made available for food allergies.
3. Table teams will compete for prizes. Be the table that completes their puzzle, eats their pizza, and finishes their drinks first to win!
Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 14th to secure your choice of pizza toppings.
Champion sweatshirts will be available for pick-up beginning October 19th.
