RoBee Report
August 17th, 2026
Dear Global Impact Academy Parents and Students,
Another great week at GIA! Parents and families, please take a minute to read through the entire newsletter as it contains important information that will hopefully clarify any questions you may have.
As we embark on a new week, I want to inform our parents and families that we have conducted our town hall meetings regarding student expectations for our students in grades 9-11. This includes dress code. Parents, please read through the presentation linked below to understand our expectations and assist us with ensuring our students meet them.
It is our hope that our students will meet and exceed the expectations we have set to continue making Global shine!
With excitement and gratitude,
Principal Johnathan Hall
Global Impact Academy
Car-Rider Dismissal Information <Please Read!>
We dismiss promptly at 3:55 pm. We ask that car-drivers, please follow the instructions of the staff outside to ensure a smooth and safe dismissal. Parents: please do not park in front of the houses in the neighborhood. It is expected that car-drivers adhere to the following while on GIA's campus:
- Follow the one-way signage when entering the campus into the traffic lane.
- Enter into the traffic lanes. Do NOT wait for your student on the other side of the traffic lanes as you will cause traffic to build up and could potentially be hit by oncoming traffic.
- Avoid parking in front of homes in the neighborhood as that is considered private property.
- Exercise patience and caution as we ensure the safety of our car-riders.
- Drive the appropriate speed limit when entering and exiting school property.
- Utilize signal lights when switching lanes.

State Superintendent Advisory Council Application- NOW OPEN
State School Superintendent Richard Woods seeks students in grades 10-12 to serve on his 2026-2027 Student Advisory Council. These students will meet with Superintendent Woods to discuss the impact of state policies in the classroom and other education-related issues. They will serve as the Superintendent's ambassadors to their respective schools.
"One of the most important parts of my job is listening to students," Superintendent Woods said. "The Student Advisory Council allows me to hear directly from young people about their experiences, challenges, and ideas for the future of education in Georgia. These students serve as ambassadors for their schools and communities, and their perspectives help ensure student voices remain at the center of our work. I encourage eligible students from across Georgia to apply and share their unique viewpoints."
Any Georgia student in grades 10-12 may complete an application to be considered for the Student Advisory Council. The application includes short essay prompts that allow students to share their ideas for public education.
The Student Advisory Council will meet four times in person during the school year; meeting dates will be posted on the Student Advisory Council webpage.
The 2026-2027 Student Advisory Council application is available online. Student applicants must apply by September 4, 2026, at 5 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted.
Georgia students in grades 10-12 are eligible to apply.
Selected students will be contacted via email. All students may visit the Student Advisory Council webpage on October 2, 2026, at 10 a.m. to determine if they have been selected.
Please note that each year we typically receive hundreds more applications than we can accept. Not being selected for the Student Advisory Council does not mean the student's application did not meet the qualifications.

OSP has now changed to SchoolCash Online!
Fulton County Schools is excited to introduce SchoolCash Online — a convenient, secure way for families and students to pay online for school fees. Introduced during the 2026-2027 school year, this new platform reduces cash and check handling in schools, and it offers families and students a convenient, secure way to pay online.
In July 2026, Fulton County Schools families received an email invitation from SchoolCash Online with a unique link to register. Once registered, families will be able to access their students’ items, manage payments, and track history all in one place. Even if families don’t plan to make purchases right away, all families are encouraged to create an account to stay informed.
FLEX Fridays 26-27
Please see the flyer for all of the FLEX Friday dates for the 26-27 School Year! Please note: It is mandatory for students in the selected group to be in attendance for the FLEX Friday that applies to them. For the Pathway-specific dates, students should choose their primary pathway to attend.
The Amnesty Day FLEX Friday for December is optional and will be used for students who need additional assistance (catch up, make up missed assignments/tests and tutorial) before we go into Finals.
More information to come!
