Parent Teacher Conferences

JMS does not conference with all students. Please reach out to your child's teachers through email at any time if you have any questions or concerns about his/her educational progress. PowerSchool and Canvas are great resources to monitor your child's work and progress. Please let us know if you need any help navigating those tools. We will be in contact with some families in regards to a potential conference on Oct. 1. Other families may receive an email or phone call regarding their child's first quarter progress between Sept. 24 and Oct. 1. Again, please reach out to your child's teacher or call our main office if you would like to have an in-person conference at some point.

Volunteers Needed!!

The JMS 8th Grade DC Trip is in need of a Parent Volunteer or Volunteers. Since we began taking this trip in 2007, parents have handled fundraisers and other tasks to ensure the trip is a success. The excellent volunteers over the years have streamlined and organized these efforts so that it is manageable for one person and even easier for multiple people. Parents have typically taken the role for multiple years as their children moved through JMS. We are at a time of transition where our current volunteer's children will be done at JMS at the end of the year and we will need someone (or a few people) to take over. The current volunteer would work with anyone interested this year to train them to take over next year. Please consider stepping up and helping in this role! Contact David Hubster for more details.

Students of the Week

Each week, staff members nominate students that have excelled that particular week in a variety of ways. The students may have had success or great improvements in their academics. They may have shown great character in a situation. Their behavior may have set a positive example for their peers. Whatever the case, staff members noticed and thought the student was worthy of being recognized. All nominees are recognized on Monday during the lunches and the winners, as voted upon by their grade level staff, are announced. The winners so far this school year include:

6th Grade - Lauren Boehman, Hudson Bauer, Lexi Vollmer, Levi Bolin

7th Grade - Charlotte Hoffman, Alex Jerger, Jovie Weisheit, Luke Eckerle

8th Grade - Hadlyn Schwenk, Michael Braun, Alyssa Lampert, Samuel Himsel
