Community and Safety

We want to give a huge thank you to all the families who attended our Fall Festival—it was a huge success with a fantastic turnout! In addition to the fun, we've prioritized safety: our kindergarteners received a wonderful visit from the East Moline Fire Department to learn about fire prevention and safety, and all students successfully practiced our scheduled safety drills.

We are looking forward to a productive and engaging Second Quarter and thank you for your continued partnership!

This month, we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on Ms. Anderson's fantastic first-grade class and the great Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lesson provided by our school counselor, Ms. Schott!

Ms. Schott used an engaging read-aloud to reinforce the importance of making good choices and understanding behavior skills. The lesson ended with a wonderful opportunity for students to choose their form of connection—a hug, a high-five, or a fist bump—with Ms. Schott.

As these pictures show, SEL is all about connection, and a lot of our Wildcats eagerly opted for that supportive hug! We love seeing our students internalize these crucial social skills and feel safe enough to seek connection with our staff.
