Dear Members and Friends of UCN,

This March, as Spring just begins to show its first/tentative promise in Wisconsin, and as we continue to be deeply troubled by dangerous developments in the life and and politics of our nation, I wanted to share two very different reflections on hope.

The first is a lovely poem, "Blackbird," by poet Tom Hirons, which I stumbled upon this week. And the second is a sermon I was privileged to hear this past Sunday in the UU church here in Vero Beach, Florida, where I am Minister Emeritus. It was preached by the Rev. Thomas Capo, who has succeeded me in this pulpit. I was helped by this sermon in my journey to cope with these terribly dangerous and discouraging times. Blessings to all of you...see you next week!
