First week of Quarter 2 is in the books! Ask your student about what they have for their new specials classes as they should have started something new on Monday.
Don't forget that there will be no school on Monday 11/11/24 for Veterans Day. During the morning show on Thursday, we encouraged ever student to thank a veteran that they know for their service to our country. Veterans Day is the perfect excuse to thank a family member or a friend for their dedication, it is appreciated and not taken for granted!
During the staff meeting on Wednesday, October 30 Mrs. Hiers and Mrs. Squatrito shared that GBS, SMS, and ConVal will be launching Hope Squad a peer-to-peer suicide prevention initiative. This program is aimed at promoting mental health and preventing youth suicide by helping to reduce the stigma of mental illness, creating an inclusive school culture, encouraging student safety through personal connections, and promoting help-seeking behavior.
