GRAHAM'S NEST NEWS
FEBRUARY 2025
SUPERINTENDENT MESSAGE
FROM THE DESK OF DR. GRAHAM:
Welcome Back Eagles!
It is great to have everyone back in The Nest! I want to say thank you for your flexibility last week as we navigated through the impacts of inclement weather.
I've linked below my February Board Report that was shared with the board during our regular monthly meeting on Thursday, February 20. I would like for you to pay special attention to legislative updates as well as the Legislative Platform that the Purdy R-II School District adopted.
There are many challenges facing public education already and with the momentum of some of these legislative bills those challenges are looking to expand even more. As we progress through this legislative session I will try to provide more regular updates and potential impacts the Purdy R-II School District could be facing.
As we wrap up February and launch into Spring I am amazed that we are on the tail end of the 24-25 school year already. I want to encourage each of you to take a few moment and take a DEEP BREATH.................we are accomplishing great things!
The rest of the year is going to pass like a snap of your fingers. We will prepare for and give MAP assessments, EOC assessments, benchmark tests, screenings, finals, projects, etc. While all of these things are important, even more importantly we will educate kids - to be better human beings: to think critically, to collaborate, to communicate, to create, to be responsible, to be respectful, to have dreams, to chase dreams, to make amazing things happen. Ultimately preparing them for a world that so desperately needs them to be good, kind, compassionate, thoughtful, generous, loving and enduring.
YOU PLAY A MAJOR ROLE IN THAT!
Everyday is a building block on the day before - lets make each day count!
It truly is a GREAT DAY TO BE AN EAGLE!
