EDGE Team 2026-2027
Congratulations!
We loved seeing your amazing talent, dedication, and hard work throughout the North Texas Summer Dance Intensive! It is our pleasure to proudly invite you to join the KJ DANCE EDGE Team for the 2026–2027 dance season.
As a member of the EDGE Team, you will continue to grow and evolve both as a dancer and as an individual. You will have exciting opportunities to participate in classes, conventions, competitions, performances, and special events alongside your fellow EDGE teammates. Through these experiences, you will develop not only your technical skills, but also the confidence, character, and leadership qualities that are at the heart of #theKJWay.
We believe this season will be an incredibly rewarding journey as you challenge yourself, pursue excellence, and represent both yourself and KJ DANCE with pride. Each EDGE Team member brings a unique spark, and we are excited to celebrate the growth, success, and talent that every dancer contributes to our community.
As we begin our 34th year of dance education, we look forward to creating unforgettable memories, building lasting friendships, and helping each dancer reach new heights in their training and artistry.
Congratulations on your invitation to join the 2026–2027 KJ DANCE EDGE Team! We are excited to welcome you and cannot wait to see all that you accomplish this season.
EDGE Team Mission
The EDGE Team is designed for dancers who are ready for an accelerated, intermediate-to-advanced training program. Our goal is to develop strong, well-rounded dancers while preparing them for future opportunities—whether that means advanced outside training programs, KJ Dance’s PULSE Performance Company, continued training within PULSE, or dance programs within their schools.
Throughout the season, EDGE dancers will have multiple opportunities to perform, grow, and share the stage together. More importantly, they will experience the joy of being part of a team—working toward common goals in a positive, encouraging, and fun environment.
Through accelerated technical training, EDGE dancers will continue to grow not only in their dance abilities, but also in confidence, creativity, discipline, and teamwork.
Our desire is for every EDGE dancer to leave the program stronger—both as a performer and as a person—with the skills, confidence, and foundation to take the next step in their dance journey.
1. Celebrate your dancer! This is a HUGE accomplishment!
2. Join the EDGE TEAM BAND (linked below)- this is how we will communicate all year long. This is an app on your phone you will download.
3. Complete the EDGE Team Jacket/Backpack form-linked below

EDGE Class Attire
EDGE dancers will wear a red leotard, pink ballet tights, and their hair in a bun for all three of their core classes.
Since dancers won't have time to change before their jazz and contemporary classes, they are welcome to simply slip on a pair of shorts or add a top over their red leotard for those classes.
Below, you'll find links to several leotards that are great examples of this year's preferred color and style. If your dancer already owns a different red leotard, that's absolutely fine! It does not need to be one of the linked styles. The only requirement is that the leotard is true red (rather than maroon, burgundy, or another shade of red).
We hope this helps provide clarity as you prepare for the upcoming season. We can't wait to see all of our EDGE dancers back in the studio!
