PIC Parent Update
May 9, 2025
Message from Principal Tekiela
Dear PIC Families,
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your generous support during Staff Appreciation Week. The staff truly felt the warmth of your appreciation. A special acknowledgment goes to the PTO and the parent volunteers for their invaluable contributions of time and effort.
As we look ahead, we have an exciting schedule of activities planned for both before and after school. Please take a moment to review the important dates listed below. I will continue to provide reminders via our website and Facebook.
We are eagerly anticipating our all-school field trip on Tuesday to see the Joliet Slammers. Please ensure that your child applies sunscreen and is prepared for the weather conditions.
If you were unable to attend the band sign-up night, it is not too late to register. The sign-up information is included below for your convenience. Additionally, on May 15th, the district will host a parent night at PHS focused on keeping our children Cybersafe (please see the flyer below). We hope you can join us for this important discussion. The PTO will meet on Monday night at PES, and we are actively recruiting new members for the upcoming year. We encourage you to attend and learn more about our initiatives.
Lastly, we would like to extend our best wishes for a Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and those who represent them. We hope you receive the recognition you truly deserve.
Thank you for your continued support.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
