According to forecasts, severe winter weather could be headed toward the Argyle area late Friday and during the weekend. We are currently under a Winter Storm Warning and Argyle ISD officials are in contact with the National Weather Service and Denton County officials for up-to-date information.
If weather conditions impact school operations, official updates regarding delays or closures will be sent through ParentSquare, posted on the district website, and shared on Argyle ISDβs official social media channels. Families should rely on these sources for accurate information. When a weather-related decision is required, the district will notify families, students, and staff by 6 a.m.

*With the forecast for severe winter weather starting Friday night, all Friday activities have been moved up and all weekend activities and rentals across AISD have been canceled.
Factors considered before making a weather-related decision about school include:
road conditions, temperatures
the presence of snow, ice & sleet
student driver safety
sidewalk and parking lot conditions; and
the ability for staff who live outside the district to get to work
whether or not HVAC systems are operating correctly; and
whether or not neighboring school districts are having school
