Announcements
Hello Knights!
September is here! The weather is finally cooling down. If you haven't already, please download the Lake Havasu USD #1 app for access to documents, news, updates, and even emergency notifications. Download for Android at https://bit.ly/41aRMcJ or for iPhone at https://apple.co/3Rv9pAB
If you've earned a golden ticket for being safe, responsible, or respectful, remember to place it in one of the five drop boxes located around the campus. This is your chance to be acknowledged and possibly win a prize!
Laptops
Please remind your students to have their laptops fully charged and bring them to school every day, as this is an expectation of being prepared for class. If you are having any issues with laptops, please see the Media Assistant in the library either at the start of school or the end.
Have a great year!

12th Grade Career Center Visits: Seniors will be visiting the Career Center this Fall on September 23rd - 25th to look over valuable resources that will assist them during this year. Topics to be covered will include:
*COLLEGE/CAREER EXPLORATION * SCHOLARSHIPS *TRANSCRIPTS
11th Grade Career Center Visits: Juniors will spend approximately 30 minutes this Fall on September 9th - 11th to learn about the resources available in the Career Center. To learn more, check out the LHHS Counseling and Career Center Facebook page.
9th Grade Meet Your Counselor Lessons: Counselors will be meeting with 9th graders during their PE periods on August 28th and 30th to introduce themselves and provide the students with information on how to set up an appointment with their counselor, as well as learn what their counselors are here to support with.

PAYING FOR POST SECONDARY INSTITUTION:
Seniors (and their parents) will want to complete the FAFSA: Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Our goal is to assist those students/parents in the completion of the application and will offer time in the seniors’ school day to address this.
FAFSA lesson (seniors): FAFSA lessons will be held during the Winter season once the 2025-2026 FAFSA application is open. As of current, FAFSA has announced another delay this year to open in December instead of October. We will also offer a Parent FAFSA Workshop in the evening in December to assist in the completion of FAFSA. More details to follow.
Parents are always welcome to visit the Career Center.
BE INVOLVED
Parents are encouraged to have a conversation with their children about high school, future plans, ECAP lessons, and Major Clarity. Future planning is critical to ensure that students meet graduation requirements, have knowledge about programs of study and are able to pursue their post-secondary goals. Your involvement is extremely important!
HOW IS MY CHILD DOING ACADEMICALLY?
SYNERGY: Students and parents should log into StudentVue/ParentVue on a regular basis. If you need assistance, contact or visit the Main Office.
