A Message from Plummer Middle School
Bidding Farewell to 8th Grade
As the final weeks of the school year wind down, our hallways are filled with a mix of nostalgic reflection and buzzing anticipation. Change is in the air, and we are preparing to say a bittersweet goodbye to our graduating 8th graders.
To Our Heading-to-High-School 8th Graders
It truly seems like just yesterday that our 8th graders first walked through these doors. Back then, they were full of nervous energy, oversized backpacks, and endless questions.
Over the last three years, we have watched these students transform. They have navigated the ups and downs of adolescence, tackled tougher academics, discovered new passions, and matured into remarkable young men and women. They are no longer just finding their way—they are leading the way.
As you step onto your high school campuses next school year, remember the resilience and character you built right here. We are incredibly proud of the people you have become, and we wish you nothing but success, joy, and adventure in this next chapter. You are ready for this!
To all of our parents: thank you for partnering with us through every growth spurt, school project, and milestone. We are so grateful for your support.
Here’s to a fantastic summer and bright futures all around!

In a masterclass of tactical brilliance, Benjamin Cardenas captured 1st place in the Middle School Division, officially earning the title of State Champion. Navigating through a field of the finest young minds in Texas, Benjamin displayed incredible poise under pressure, outmaneuvering his opponents to bring home the top trophy. Becoming the number one middle school player in a state as competitive as Texas is an extraordinary feat.
Sammee Sorn Medals Among the Best
Adding to the weekend's triumphs, Sammee Sorn delivered a powerhouse performance to bring home a state medal. Facing elite competition, Sammee showed incredible resilience and sharp calculation at every turn, securing a spot among the top tier of players in the state.
Both Benjamin and Sammee showed the entire state what excellence looks like. These two young men represented their school and district with utmost class and brilliance.
