Doniphan-Trumbull Student Mental Health Day!

On April 6th Doniphan-Trumbull will be hosting a Mental Health Student Conference! Parents are welcome to attend any or all sessions! On Monday, your student(s) will be getting a google sign-up form and asked to select sessions that they would like to attend. We will try to honor choices but would like to even out the sessions. You are encouraged to talk with your child about their selections and if you have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me or Mrs. Sjuts. (mgoracke@dtcardinals.org or nsjuts@dtcardinals.org)

The day will start at 830 with a general session, "It's OK to Not be Ok," presented by Liesel Hogan, our Licensed Mental Health Professional.

After that, Mrs Sjuts and I will be rolling out the SAFE2HELP hotline. This hotline is an anonymous way in which students and parents can report threats, bullying, suicide concerns, crimes violence or abuse. This is a partnership with the Nebraska Dept Of Education. The calls are filtered at BoysTown with a trained counselor. They are filtered for high risk to low risk. If the tip is deemed high risk, the DT administration will receive a phone call to immediately begin assessing the situation. There is a phone number and an app that can be downloaded to your phone. I have added a link below if you'd like to have more information, or feel to reach out to me!
