Another school year is quickly coming to a close, and what a year it has been! It’s incredible to look back and see just how much our students have grown—both academically and socially. Their progress is a true reflection of their hard work, your support, and the dedication of our amazing staff.

May is a busy and exciting month full of important events and celebrations:

  • DARE Day for all 5th-grade students is Thursday, May 2nd.

  • Teacher Appreciation Week runs May 5–9. Please take a moment to thank our incredible educators for the lasting impact they have on our students' lives.

  • The NPHS Senior Walk-Through is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7th. We can’t wait to cheer on these graduates and show our students the rewards of perseverance and dedication.

  • Our 5th Grade DARE Graduation will be held on Tuesday, May 13th at 2:00 PM.

  • The PTO End-of-Year Bash is set for Wednesday, May 14th from 5:30–7:00 PM. Join us for food, fun, and celebration—families are encouraged to attend!

  • The 4th Quarter Celebration takes place on Thursday, May 15th at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5th Grade Clap-Out at 11:45 AM as we honor our fifth graders for completing their elementary journey.

Thank you for a fantastic school year. Let’s finish strong and enjoy these last few weeks of learning, laughter, and celebration together!

Hello, Wildcat Families!

Happy May! There is a lot going on this month so make sure to scroll down and check out the Important Dates listed below.

The year can feel SO long, at times. But when we get to May, I always think, "wow, that went fast. I'm going to miss these kids!" Oh you guys. It's hard to believe how much these students grow in just one school year, isn't it??

One thing I have noticed is the impact that basic conversations has on kids' thoughts and actions. We don't have to plan elaborate conversations with a list of questions and the perfect answers. Nope. We just have to be available and willing to chat about our daily lives. Putting words to the things going on in our lives, talking about how we can have a positive impact on a friend or even how good it feels to make good choices can be sprinkled into our regular conversations. And those conversations get kids thinking about life in a healthy way.

So as you run to the lake, baseball, soccer, the airport, and all the other summer destinations, enjoy those easy conversations and know that those little moments matter. Have a MUCH DESERVED summer!
