We are so excited to welcome all of our students and families back for a brand new school year at Albright Middle School!

This year brings some exciting changes! I, Mrs. Hummel, am very excited to now serve our Salt Creek 48 community in the role of principal. Additionally, please join us in giving a warm welcome to Mr. Hanus, our new assistant principal. We’re both thrilled to continue in a new middle school role and are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead.

We’re also proud to welcome you back to a newly renovated building! From updated classrooms to refreshed hallways and lockers, we can’t wait for you to see all the improvements that will help make this year better than ever.

📌 Important Reminders:

• Please note: Drop-off and pick-up procedures have changed due to ongoing construction for our new gymnasium, which will continue through the remainder of the school year.

• Meet the Teacher & Student Supply Drop-Off will be held on August 26 from 1:00–2:00 PM.

• Please enter through Door 4, off of the soccer field. If you ordered and EPI kit from FTC they will be ready and waiting at the school for you.

• Parking will be tight for supply drop-off. You may need to park one street over, so please wear shoes accordingly.

• We are still wrapping up some projects at the school, so don't be alarmed if you see some dust and areas that look unfinished.

Get ready to kick off the fall sports season! Tryouts for Soccer and Girls Volleyball will be held on:

📅 Tuesday, September 2 & Wednesday, September 3, 2025
🕝 Time: 2:40 P.M. – 4:30 P.M.
👟 Who: All Middle School grade levels are welcome! (6th-8th)

Students must wear appropriate athletic gear, bring water, and have a current sports physical on file in order to participate.

Anyone trying out must make arrangements to be picked up at 4:30 sharp on BOTH days of tryouts!

Sports physicals are required for any students who would like to participate in school-sponsored sport activities. They are only good for one calendar year. If you are not sure if you child needs a new one please reach out to the school nurse Mrs. Simmons.

Welcome Back From FTC!!!!

We kick off the year with our Back To School Social on Thursday August 28th at Swartz from 5-7pm!! We'll have Heavenly Hot Dog Truck serving up dinner specials for $7 and Kona Ice for dessert! McTeacher Night is Tuesday Sept 16th!! Mark your calendars and join FTC as we host our first dine out of the year and the ONLY dine out to feature our marvelous D48 Teachers and Staff. Visit McDonalds at 190E Butterfield Rd Elmhurst between 4-8pm and see what staff you get to visit with! Bring cash for cookies!!!

Often there are times when our buses are running late. Westway Coach will notify us when there is a delay in time for buses so we can notify our parents of the bus that is running late. Sometimes a situation can happen when our office is closed and a parent tries to call us. If this is the case you may contact Westway Coach at 630-270-2720.
