Do I need to keep my child off school?

WELLBEING

Our unwavering commitment to pupil wellbeing remains at the forefront of our priorities. In light of Children's Mental Health Week, we have redoubled our efforts to ensure that every pupil feels supported and valued within our school environment.

This video is a great starting point if you would like to share it with your child. What is mental health?

We have also included another shorter video from Anna Freud below which you may find useful.

GOVERNOR INFORMATION

In governance matters, Mr Hemesley has stepped down from his role as Chair of Governors. We extend our gratitude for his service. Mr McCormack, our former Chair, has graciously agreed to serve as Interim Chair. The Full Governing Board will convene to elect a new Chair and Vice Chair in due course.

DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

We are delighted to highlight the impressive work of Class 3 in their Design and Technology project. The pupils have designed and constructed bridges as part of their study on structures, demonstrating creativity and practical application of their learning. They will soon evaluate their creations, further enhancing their critical thinking skills.

SPORTS

We'd like to congratulate those pupils who took part in the Swimming Gala at Driffield Leisure Centre. You were awesome!

Thank you to Miss Shier and the adults who supported.

YOUR HELP

I must draw your attention to two important matters. Firstly, we kindly request your cooperation regarding parking outside the school. Your consideration ensures the safety of all when choosing a parking spot around drop-off and collection times in particular.

Secondly, we have had discussions with some pupils about their use of games like Fortnite. We urge parents to be vigilant about the chat functions in these games to safeguard our children's online interactions. Thank-you.
