Hello Wauwatosa Montessori School Community,

We celebrated WEMTA’s Battle of the Books program this week. Teams of 4th - 8th graders read approximately 20 books and then participated in elimination rounds answering questions about those books to determine our schools winning team. Our elementary division and middle division winning teams will participate in the Statewide Online Battle during the last week of February. Congratulations to ALL of the students and teams who participated. Thank you to the coaches and parents. A special thank you to Sally Courtney who coordinated the program. Congratulations to our winning Middle Division team, The Wicked Pickles, including Skyler Anderson, Robin Thomas and Colette Ford (coach: Monica Anderson) and our winning Elementary Division team, The Protagonists, including August Hartsook, James Benjamin, Tyler Fritsch, and Darwin Pandya (coach: Erin Quasney)! Congratulations to The Champs our Elementary Division team that came in second place (Manhattan Jones, Lilian Ford, Tegan Schiller, and Levi Schneider guided by Coach Jill Ford) and The Book Ballers our Elementary Division team that came in second place (Ryan Fritch, Nathan Yenter, Brandon Wong, and Preston Jacobs guided by Coach: Jen Jacobs)!

Staffing Update

Ms. Isa Herman is now the long-term sub in gym class. I am also excited to share that she is pursuing her license for this role! We are continuing our search for a Physical Education Teacher; however, Ms Isa is performing wonderfully in this role. As many of you know, she has her substitute license, her Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurial Management, and is currently pursuing her Montessori teacher credential and is on track to graduate this year.
