Welcome back, Vernfield families! We had a fantastic first week of school as students settled into new routines, reconnected with friends and teachers, and began an exciting year of learning together. We also had fun creating a special video featuring our Summer Challenge highlights. Click the link below to check it out.

Transportation by bus is the preferred method for students traveling to and from school. There may be times, however, when you need to drop off or pick up your child. If you plan to make any changes to your child's usual transportation arrangements, please notify both your child's teacher and the attendance office at attendvf@soudertonsd.org.

If your child will have a consistent change in transportation throughout the school year, such as daily car rider or attendance at Kids Care, please be sure to communicate those arrangements with your child's teacher and the attendance office at attendvf@soudertonsd.org so we can ensure a smooth and safe transition each day.

Families can manage their student's meal account through https://www.myschoolbucks.com/

On this website you can add funds, check balances, view purchases, and set low fund notifications. You can add money to your child's account through this website. You can also send money to school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and ID number. Cash or checks made payable to "SASD Cafeteria Account" are accepted.

Please join us for Back to School Night on September 10. This special evening provides an opportunity to meet your child's teacher and learn more about the exciting year ahead. We understand this is a busy time of the year and we truly appreciate your attendance. Please note the purpose of the evening is for parents to focus on curriculum, procedures, expectations, and volunteer opportunities. If you need time to discuss your child's individual needs or performance, please schedule a later time that is mutually convenient for the teacher and you. Session 1 will begin at 6:00 PM, and Session 2 will begin at 6:50 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!

If you have multiple children at Vernfield, please complete a form for each child.

The form will be closed on Monday, September 7, and those chosen as Coordinators will be contacted via email prior to the first HSA meeting on Monday, September 14.

The Homeroom Coordinator is responsible for organizing three classroom socials for the year (Halloween on 10/30, Winter on 12/23, Valentine's Day on 2/11). This will include creating a signup genius and email for the teacher to forward to classroom parents prior to each social. We will provide templates for emails.

The Homeroom Coordinator will also be a yearbook liaison and be responsible for gathering photos from each of the socials and uploading them to the yearbook dropbox.

We are asking that all Coordinators attend the HSA meeting on September 14, 2026. If you have any questions, please reach out to Katie Van Thuyne at moyerk2@hotmail.com.

Vernfield HSA Back to School Bash!

Kick off the new school year with Vernfield friends and families at our Back to School Bash!

Please note: This Vernfield Elementary HSA event is open only to Vernfield students and their families. This is not a drop-off/pick-up event. All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or other responsible adult.
