GSDS High School Weekly Update

On February 5th, the world-famous Harlem Wizards brought their magic to Merner Gym at Pfeiffer University for an unforgettable evening — and our GSDS Interactor students helped make it a success. Doors opened at 5:30 PM and the Wizards dazzled fans with incredible ball-handling tricks as they faced the Stanly Dragons. While the crowd enjoyed every play, our students were busy behind the scenes: arriving in uniform, assisting with setup, scanning tickets, and warmly welcoming guests into the gym.

Their professionalism, teamwork, and positive attitude drew compliments all night. You could hear visitors remarking on how helpful and respectful Gray Stone Day School students are. Working together and putting service above self, our Interactors showed that small choices—showing up on time, wearing your uniform, offering a smile—have big impacts on a community event. Because of their efforts, the evening ran smoothly and helped the Albemarle Rotary Club raise funds for scholarships, community grants, and local projects.

Go Knights! Thank you to our students for representing GSDS with pride and for demonstrating how meaningful service and thoughtful choices strengthen our community.
