Dear Rock Creek Families,

I hope you're enjoying the final stretch of summer and making lasting memories with your loved ones. As we gear up for a new school year, I want to extend a warm welcome back to our returning families and a heartfelt hello to those joining Rock Creek for the first time. We’re excited to begin another year of learning, growing, and thriving—together.

We’re also excited to welcome several new staff members to our Rock Creek family. These dedicated educators and support staff bring fresh energy, experience, and a deep passion for working with kids:

  • Ms. Partida- Kindergarten Teacher

  • Ms. Renner- 1st Grade Teacher

  • Mr. Hafer- 1st Grade Teacher

  • Mrs. Lopez- 2nd Grade Teacher

  • Mrs. Early- 4th Grade Teacher

  • Mrs. Hendrickson- 4th Grade Teacher

  • Mrs. Freeman- 4th Grade Teacher

  • Ms. Isham- PE Teacher

  • Mrs. Murri- Multilingual Learner Teacher

As we look ahead, we’re committed to strengthening our partnership with Rock Creek's PTO to set new goals and reach new heights—together as a school community. We invite all parents and guardians to attend our first General PTO Meeting on Monday, August 25 at 4:00 PM. Your involvement makes a big difference, and we’d love to see you there.

This year will bring both challenges and opportunities, and I’m confident that with heart, purpose, and collaboration, we’ll make it a great one. I feel incredibly fortunate to serve alongside such a dedicated team and to partner with families like yours to support every child’s success.

One final note—our Student Handbook provides important information for families and helps ensure a safe, supportive environment for all. Please take time to review it carefully with your child.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

With appreciation,
Lisa Gebbie, Principal

Rock Creek Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures Rock Creek Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures

We have over 600 students at our school, and safety is our highest priority. Please take a moment to carefully review the pick-up and drop-off guidelines designed to keep both students and staff safe.

To ensure the safety of all students and keep traffic flowing smoothly, please follow these important procedures:

  • Pull forward as far as possible in the drop-off/pick-up lane. If a staff member signals you to move forward, please follow their direction.

  • Always use the crosswalk for your safety and to model safe behavior for students.

  • Do not let students exit from the left lane. This is unsafe.

  • The side parking lot and bus lane are for buses only. Do not use this area for drop-off or pick-up.

  • Be respectful and courteous to others during busy times. Our children are watching!

  • Only park in handicap spaces if you have a valid permit. These spaces are reserved for those who truly need them.

  • Never leave your vehicle unattended in the drop-off lane.

  • Parents must remain outside the gate. You're welcome to wait behind the fence and observe, but please do not enter the playground.

  • If someone else is dropping off or picking up your child, please share these procedures with them.

Thank you for your cooperation! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the school administration.

TFSD Policy No: 3735

As we begin the new school year, we want to remind you about an important policy the TFSD enacted last year regarding the use of personal electronic communication devices. To ensure a focused and productive learning environment, the use of cell phones, smartwatches, and similar devices for communication and entertainment purposes will be prohibited during the school day.

For detailed information about the policy, including exceptions, disciplinary procedures, and frequently asked questions, please visit our Personal Electronic Communication Device Policy page.

Thank you for your support in helping us provide a better educational experience for all students.

School Hours

Monday (early release): 8:00AM to 2:00PM

Tuesday - Friday: 8:00AM to 3:00PM

Breakfast opens at 7:35 AM daily and supervision on the playground begins at 7:35 AM.

The safety of our students is very important to us, please do not drop students off at school before 7:35 AM and be timely picking them up at the end of the day.

Academic Achievement: Attending school regularly ensures that your child has the opportunity to engage fully in classroom learning activities, participate in discussions, and benefit from teacher guidance. Research consistently shows that students who attend school regularly perform better academically than those who are frequently absent.

Punctuality Matters! Being frequently late for school adds up to lost learning.

  • Arriving 5 minutes late every day adds up to over 3 days lost each year.
  • Arriving 15 minutes late every day adds up to 2 weeks absence a year.
  • Arriving 30 minutes late every adds up to 19 days absence a year.

We love and value our parent volunteers! Your support plays an important role in making Rock Creek a welcoming and successful place for students. At this time, parent volunteers are welcome in the building and on school property, but please remember to check in at the front office upon arrival.

All parents who wish to volunteer or chaperone field trips must complete a background check at least two weeks before the event.
