CES Happenings
Dear CES Family,
Hello to all of you. A few things for you
- I'd like to thank all of you for your support of our Jog-a-Thon! We're off to a great start.
- A reminder that parent conferences run the week of 9/29 through 10/3. You will be receiving information regarding you scheduled time this next week if you haven't already.
- On Wednesday, October 1st, there will be a very unique event happening at CJSHS and that is a full-scale active shooter exercise. This is a multi-agency exercise designed to simulate a real-world active shooter scenario. I let you know this in advance because you will see and hear many things going on that day from emergency response vehicles to a helicopter. Seneca Hospital is also a major part of this exercise. Members of the public will not be allowed on the CJSHS campus at any time during this event. This minimum day for CJSHS students. Click here for the press release from Seneca Hospital. A reminder that CES also has a minimum day that day as well, but not because of this event. It is due to our parent-teacher conferences.
Sincerely,
Scott Cory
Principal

Guidelines for Student Illness
We love having your kids at school and really want to see them on campus every day! That being said, sickness happens and there are times when it's best for students to stay home . The image included with this article was created for PUSD staff and families in order to provide criteria for when it's OK to be and school and when it's better to stay home (click on the image to access and download it). We hope that you find this helpful. Please don't hesitate to contact our school nurse, Jessica Logan, via email (the easiest way to make contact) at jlogan@pcoe.k12.ca.us with any questions you may have about this or other things like medications at school.
