What's up Wednesday

4/8/2026

Two more days until Bobcat Bash 2025!
We are ready for a night of fun with our Cedar Island families! See below to make sure you are ready for the big night!

• When and where: Friday, April 11, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. | Cedar Island (throughout the school)
• Sign up to volunteer: We still need volunteers for a few time slots and activities. If you or your middle/high school kids are free, we'd appreciate your support! Questions? Email petriel@district279.org.
• Wristbands: Thanks to all who preordered; your wristbands will be sent home with the child you indicated on the form on Friday. Wristbands will also be available at the main entrance for purchase on the night of the event. Questions? Email danielle.eickholt@gmail.com.
• Silent auction: Stop by the Makerspace to bid on some amazing auction items - there is truly something for everyone! Be on the lookout for a handout in your child's folder before Friday with details on how to download the app and navigate the auction. We will also have instructions and volunteers available to answer your questions at the event. Questions? Email katie.allen884@gmail.com.
• Game, activities and food: Enjoy face painting, a human slot machine, Maple Grove Fire obstacle course, hockey shootout, a sensory‑friendly quiet room, and more. Food trucks include What’s the Scoop, Mama’s Tacos, and Pronto Pups.
• Other reminders:
• This is not a drop off event and adults must be present with all children under the age of 18.
• You may use the school parking lot for the event. Do not park by door 5 until after 6 p.m., as this is reserved for Kidstop families.

See you Friday!

As we begin planning for next year’s classroom placements, we carefully consider many factors to create balanced classrooms that best support all students.

If there is information you would like to share about your child’s placement, please complete the optional form below by Friday, April 24. Please note that information shared in previous years is not carried over, so a new form must be completed each year.

We kindly ask that you do not request specific teachers, as we are unable to accommodate individual teacher requests.

Final classroom placements will be available in ParentVUE at the end of August, just prior to Open House.

Please complete one form per child.

To help keep our classrooms focused and organized, we ask that students leave personal items from home at home (toys, important jewelry, electronics, etc) . These items can easily get lost, broken, or taken, and they often become a distraction during the school day.

Please note that the school is not responsible for lost or missing items, and staff are not able to help search for lost or misplaced belongings.

Thank you for your support in helping create a positive and productive learning environment for all students!
