It is hard to believe that December is upon us. Our staff and students have worked incredibly hard this semester and I am proud of all that they have accomplished!

We launched our Blended Learning initiative on a district-scale this fall. Below is an article that I was asked to write by one of our partners in the Blended Learning journey. It represents the behind-the-scenes process that our staff at all levels have been involved with in preparation of an initiative of this size and scale.

Leading Blended Learning from the Front Row

As a district administrator, you are expected to sit in the front row; and in many respects, Blended Learning is a movie that most in education have not seen before. Every approach to district-led initiatives is situational and depends on several variables, such as a trusting culture between campus and district staff, timing, and resources to name a few.

Fine Arts Middle School Recruitment Video

TISD has exemplary State and National award winning Fine Arts programs and we are proud to offer these options for our students. Did You Know???

Temple ISD was 1 of 14 districts in the State awarded the Math Innovation Zone Grant from TEA.
The THS Wildcat Football team has participated in post-season play for six consecutive years.
UPDATES from the State Thespian Convention in Grapevine: (1) All eight events that Temple entered were judged Superior and will advance to the International Thespian Festival next June in Lincoln, Nebraska. (2) Our Team Set Design team also won the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. (3) Four of our technical entries were called back for more judging Saturday morning and were all selected to be displayed on the huge video screens at the closing ceremonies.
