Sponsor a Reader for Read Across America Day

Thank you to everyone that participated in our Sponsor a Reader fundraiser. We surpassed our goal and raised over $20,000! Tomorrow, we celebrate on Read Across America Day with special guest readers and reading together as a school. Winners will also be announced.

Gracias a todos los que participaron en nuestra recaudación de fondos Sponsor a Reader. ¡Superamos nuestra meta y recaudamos $20,000! Mañana celebramos el Día de la Lectura en América con lectores invitados especiales y leyendo juntos como escuela. También se anunciarán los ganadores.

MINIMUM DAYS - Spring Conferences March 9th - 11th

Spring conferences will be held on March 9th - 11th. These will be minimum days for all students.

TK/Kinder - 1:15pm

1st - 5th - 1:30pm

Please contact your child's teacher if you would like to meet with them. Report cards will be sent out on March 11th.

Sunset Ridge is Hiring Paraprofessionals and Crossing Guard

Do you love working with kids? We are hiring a 5 hour paraprofessional to work with our Special Day Class. The hours are great! 8:15 to 1:45 and the kids are amazing. You will be part of an amazing team.

Our Crossing Guard position is only two hours a day. 8:15 to 9:15 and 1:45 to 2:45. Please call the office at 650-738-6687 if you are interested. We can help with you the application process.

Sunset Ridge is Celebrating 20 Years! Did you attend Sunset Ridge? We Want to Hear From You.

We are excited to be celebrating 20 years of educating children. If you attended Sunset Ridge or know of someone who did, please send us a video letting us know what you are doing now and a favorite memory you have of Sunset Ridge. We will compile all the videos and share them with our kids. Please email videos to ecundiff@pacificasd.org.

Estamos muy contentos de celebrar 20 años de educación infantil. Si asistió a Sunset Ridge o conoce a alguien que lo hizo, envíenos un video para informarnos qué está haciendo ahora y un recuerdo favorito que tenga de Sunset Ridge. PAWS POINTS

PAWS stands for Problem Solver, Always Kind, Willing to Try, and Staying Safe. Kids that are caught doing one of these activities are awarded a PAWS Point. Students get a postcard delivered to their home thanking them for doing a great job. We also have a tower that we fill up with the PAWS Point tickets and when it gets filled up, the entire school will celebrate for everyone's hard work. This week's winners are:

PAWS significa Solucionador de Problemas, Siempre Amable, Dispuesto a Intentar y Manteniéndose Seguro. Los niños que son sorprendidos haciendo una de estas actividades reciben un Punto PAWS. Los estudiantes reciben una postal en su casa agradeciéndoles por hacer un gran trabajo. También tenemos una torre que llenamos con los boletos de PAWS Point y cuando se llene, toda la escuela celebrará el arduo trabajo de todos. Los ganadores de esta semana son:

POP Stars

This award is given to students who have shown outstanding participation in their classes. They engage in learning by asking questions being an active participant in conversations and activities in a positive way. Children can only be nominated for this award by their classroom teacher. Winners are given a certificate and a lollipop that is personally delivered to their home. This week’s winners are:

Este premio se otorga a los estudiantes que han demostrado una participación destacada en sus clases. Se involucran en el aprendizaje haciendo preguntas siendo un participante activo en conversaciones y actividades de una manera positiva. Los niños solo pueden ser nominados para este premio por su maestro de clase. Los ganadores reciben un certificado y una piruleta que se les entrega personalmente en su domicilio.
