Happy Sunday!
We are so excited to share that our first couple of days of school for grades 1 - 5 have been a great success! The building is already buzzing with learning, laughter, and new friendships. Students have been settling into routines, and it has been great to see their excitement as they reconnect with classmates, meet new friends, and dive into fresh learning opportunities.
Talbot’s teachers and staff have worked hard to create safe, welcoming, and engaging classrooms where every child feels a sense of belonging. It has been inspiring to see students showing kindness, curiosity, and a readiness to grow.
We are also grateful for the strong partnership with our Talbot families. Your support, whether through encouraging words at home, helping with schedules, or simply sharing in your child’s excitement, makes all the difference in creating a positive school experience.
We welcome Kindergarten this week and are looking forward to an amazing year of growth, discovery, and learning for all for all our Talbot students. Thank you for sharing your children with us each day. We are so lucky to learn alongside them.
A few reminders….
This week, district wide students and staff will be reviewing and practicing safety routines/procedures. These lessons include ALICE emergency training, EXIT Awareness, Fire Drill expectations, Evacuation Locations and Stay In Place/Lockdown Routines. Please know that we are careful to explain all of these terms and routines to students in developmentally appropriate ways. As hard as it can be to think and talk about some of these things, safety is our priority, and practice and preparation are essential.
PLEASE make sure you review Morning Drop Off And Afternoon Pick Up Procedure. If you are arriving via UBER, please still adhere to these procedures. These procedures are in place to keep our students, families, and staff safe.
