A nurse practitioner from HealthPoint will be at Red Oak the next 4 Mondays and is able to see any student for their well child, vaccination or sick visit needs. This is a service that runs throughout the school year at various schools.

Attention 5th grade parents: your student will need their 11 year old well child physical and vaccinations to enter 6th grade. If your student has turned 11 and needs an appointment, please call the school nurse at 859-885-0616 to schedule your appointment. Parents do not need to be present for the appointment, the practitioner will call you before and after the appointment to discuss the visit. Red Oak Elementary Student Placement-Parent Input Survey 2024-2025

As we start planning for the next year, if you would like to provide input to be referenced during class placement, please complete this OPTIONAL survey regarding your child's learning environment by Friday, May 3rd. Parent/Guardian input will not be considered after the deadline.

PLACEMENT PROCESS: Many factors go into the placement process for next year. Class lists are a collaborative effort of the current grade teachers, special area teachers, support staff and the administrative team. Red Oak Elementay seeks input from caregivers, staff, and students as additional considerations when forming class lists for 2024-2025. While specific requests for teachers/classrooms are not considered and should not be requested, there are a number of factors that parents/guardians can be instrumental in providing that assist in the placement process. Please consider carefully any information you would like the current school staff to be aware of as the placement of your student for next year is considered. Your input will be shared with the class placement committee. Information will be collected through Friday, May 3rd.

Interested in eating lunch with your student?? We would LOVE to have you!

We are so excited to have parents and family members join our students for lunch! This is a privlidge that not all schools allow and we are thankful that we are able to offer this to our families. Some things to keep in mind during your visit:

1. You must check in with the front office with a current photo ID.

2. You must be on the students list of emergency contacts in Infinite Campus.

3. Your visit allows you to eat in the cafeteria and leave immediately following after signing out in the front office.

4. We ask that no parents or visitors walk to their child's classroom after lunch. Our teachers work hard to protect the learning environment for our students and we ask for your full cooperation in this manner.

BUS RULES!!

The main goal of the Jessamine County Department of Transportation is to keep our kids SAFE while getting to and from school. Below are the bus expectations. If your student is not following these rules, a bus referral will be written. After 3 referrals, a student will no longer be able to participate in bus transportation. Please help us keep your child safe by going over these rules with them!

TRANSPORTATION REMINDERS! TRANSPORTATION REMINDERS!

Any student who is a car rider will need a tag to pick up in carline. If you do not have a car tag hanging in your car, you will need to park and come in to the office to receive your child! We appreciate your cooperation! Please remember to have your child enter and exit the vehicle on the RIGHT SIDE by the curb. This is the best way to ensure that your student stays safe!

All students will be placed on the appropriate transportation that is reflected in Infinite Campus. If you need to make a transportation change, please call Ms. Wanda in our office by 2:00. We need to have time to notify the teachers.

Our Ride 360 app is up and working! If you have any questions at all concerning your child while they are on the bus, please call our office! If you have any questions concerning the Ride 360 app, please call the Transportation Office at 859-885-4891 or the online site .
