Student SEL and Climate Surveys

Panorama social-emotional and climate surveys are PUSD required assessments for students grades 3+.

It takes about 30 minutes of class time to administer this survey. Students will need their student ID number and an internet-compatible device to participate.

Panorama is a research-based survey assessment that PUSD is using to help us measure and improve the conditions of learning for students and adults. The survey will provide teachers with student-level data on social-emotional measures to support individualized support plans. The survey will also provide climate data from students that can be disaggregated by school, grade, and student background variables.

Creating the right survey environment is important to getting quality results. Here are a few suggestions to set the stage:

• Elementary Teachers: give the survey in the morning when students are fresh and ready to start the day.
• Secondary: Administer the survey in homeroom/advisory.
• You may choose to administer the SEL and Climate surveys on different days. Each takes about 15 minutes.
• The students will need their STU ID # to login. (See instructions below for printing)
• Explain to the students that we are looking for honest feedback about their thoughts and experience in school so we can provide them with a safe, positive learning environment.
• Put some calming music on while students take the survey. This is a great underwater relaxing music video to play in the back ground.
