From the Desk of Dr. Taylor

Dear Meridian Parents and Families,

Welcome back to the Owls' Nest! We hope your summer break was filled with rest, joy and meaningful moments with family and friends. As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I'm excited to welcome you and your students back into our learning community.

Over the summer, our leadership team actively participated in a Summer Learning Series focused on enhancing instructional practices and deepening our commitment to academic excellence. Our teachers have returned to campuses energized and equipped with new, innovative strategies to inspire your children through meaningful learning.

I want to take a moment to reintroduce our Elementary School Campus and Middle School Campus leaders:

Elementary School Campus (ESC):

  • DuRay Stevens, Principal
  • Nichole Lowery, Assistant Principal
  • Brandon Ortiz, Assistant Principal

Middle School Campus (MSC):

  • Zenada Mahon, Principal
  • Kristee Jones, Assistant Principal
  • Elizabeth Pinede, Assistant Principal

Our principals, along with the entire MPCS administrative and teaching staff, are committed to leading a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for every student.

This year, our schoolwide theme for academic success is "Evolve." We are reminded of continuous growth - not only in academic achievement, but in character, creativity, and community. Together, we will all evolve as learners, educators, and leaders.

Thank you for your continued partnership. Let's make this school year one of growth, discovery, and excellence!

With gratitude and excitement,

Dr. Rikki Taylor

Executive Director
