Dear NES Families,

We were excited to see so many families showing up to register their kindergarten students for next year! It was fun to meet all of them and we look forward to them joining us at NES next school year.

Our swimming unit in PE is almost complete. Just a reminder, if students are refusing to participate (not including reasons that are excused) and are not going to the pool during their allotted time, they will not be able to participate at the pool for the PBIS celebration at the end of the year.

Our teacher appreciation week is May 5th - 9th. Please feel free to reach out with any ideas to show our appreciation to teachers, send kind notes, or just a "thank you" to your child's teacher. We also have a snack sign up link below if you would like to contribute to our goodie bags we are making for teacher throughout the week.

HUGE shoutout to our Math Bowl Teams! They did an amazing job last week.

3rd grade - 1st Place with a Perfect Game!

4th grade - 2nd place

5th grade - 3rd place

We are so proud of our students and math bowl coaches. They put in the time and hard work and it showed in their performance! If you have any pictures of our teams from last week, please share with us at jessica.lowe@okeeschools.org or heather.briney@okeeschools.org.

We are excited to see how our Battle of the Books teams compete next week! Last day for practice is April 28th. The competition is on April 29th.

Reminder, last day for after school tutoring is April 29th. Students will return to their normal afternoon dismissal schedule after that.

We hope everyone has a fabulous week!

GOOOOO TIGERS!!!

Warm regards,

Mrs. Jessica Lowe, Principal

Mrs. Heather Briney, Assistant Principal
