Good Afternoon, Jaguar Nation!

We had an amazing week at Jones! Our students wrapped up their expectation talks, and we are already seeing them rise to the challenge of being leaders in our school. You may also start noticing Minga messagesโ€”these can be positive shout-outs celebrating students or quick reminders to help guide them.

Next week kicks off some of the most exciting moments of the school year! From Picture Day to our Blue Out Pep Rally and the first volleyball games of the season, there are so many opportunities for our students to shine. Be sure to check the list of upcoming events below so your student does not miss a chance to be part of the action. Letโ€™s pack the stands, wear our blue with pride, and celebrate all the incredible things happening at Jones!

Have a great weekend! Go Jags!

Together We Cultivate

On the very first day of school, our Cheer team, Band, and Legends were out front to welcome students with energy and pride. Their enthusiasm set the tone for a year of connection, belonging, and school spirit, showing how Jones Middle School cultivates a community where every student feels celebrated and supported.

This photo features our 8th grade Claw Crew student leaders meeting with Ms. Wortham for training. Claw Crew members are preparing to serve as positive role models for our younger Jaguars by leading character lessons, supporting 6th grade students, and helping build a welcoming, inclusive school culture. Through leadership and mentorship, they are shaping a stronger community at Jones Middle School.

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEBโ€™s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

๐Ÿซถ THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
