๐ฌ A Note from Mr. Zach DeVito
Good Afternoon, Jaguar Nation!
We had an amazing week at Jones! Our students wrapped up their expectation talks, and we are already seeing them rise to the challenge of being leaders in our school. You may also start noticing Minga messagesโthese can be positive shout-outs celebrating students or quick reminders to help guide them.
Next week kicks off some of the most exciting moments of the school year! From Picture Day to our Blue Out Pep Rally and the first volleyball games of the season, there are so many opportunities for our students to shine. Be sure to check the list of upcoming events below so your student does not miss a chance to be part of the action. Letโs pack the stands, wear our blue with pride, and celebrate all the incredible things happening at Jones!
Have a great weekend! Go Jags!

๐ This Week at a Glance
Together We Champion
Students in Ms. Guthrieโs and Ms. Martinโs classes are learning about campus leadership with Assistant Principal Mr. Oesterle, developing character skills that help every Jaguar grow and contribute to a positive school community.
Together We Cultivate
On the very first day of school, our Cheer team, Band, and Legends were out front to welcome students with energy and pride. Their enthusiasm set the tone for a year of connection, belonging, and school spirit, showing how Jones Middle School cultivates a community where every student feels celebrated and supported.
Together We Empower
This photo highlights our 8th grade World Languages and English Language Arts teams engaged in collaborative planning. Through these Professional Learning Communities, teachers work side by side to analyze student data, share best practices, and design high-quality instruction. By empowering our collaborative teams, we ensure that every student benefits from consistent, effective, and engaging learning experiences.
