🍂 Grateful Hearts at DMS
November is the perfect time to pause and reflect on all we’re thankful for at Dewey Middle School. We’re grateful for our students’ hard work, our staff’s dedication, and the amazing support from our families and community. Together, we’re creating a school culture rooted in respect, responsibility, and relationships.
🛡️ School Safety & Communication
The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority. Recently, we’ve seen how quickly information can spread online and in our community. Please know that when concerns arise, our administrative team acts immediately and works closely with local law enforcement to investigate every report.
✅ If you hear of a potential threat or concern, please report it directly to the school or law enforcement.
🚫 Please help stop the spread of rumors and misinformation—factual, calm communication keeps our school a safe, supportive place to learn.
🎓 Academic Focus & Priorities
This semester, we’re focused on helping every Bulldogger reach their fullest potential! Our priorities remain clear:
-
🏫 Safety: Maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.
-
📘 Learning: Encouraging growth through targeted instruction, IXL skill plans, and enrichment opportunities.
-
💬 Relationships: Building strong, positive connections among students, staff, and families.
We’re also emphasizing consistent attendance—every day in class matters! Thank you for helping your child arrive on time and ready to learn each morning. If your child must miss school, please notify the office. 918-534-2241 Ext 3000

October Students of the Month
Salvation Army Canned Food Drive 2025
During October, Dewey Middle School students participated in the Salvation Army Canned Food Drive. Each grade competed to see who could bring in the most items, and our 7th graders came out on top! They’ll celebrate their win with a pizza party. Altogether, students collected and donated an impressive 870 cans to support the Salvation Army. Thank you to everyone who gave so generously!
