A Message from the Principal

Dear Highlander Families:

Welcome back to the second semester of the school year. I hope your family had a fantastic winter break and welcomed in the new year. On Monday, there is an informational meeting at Foothill High School about the International Baccalaureate program. If you would like to learn more about this High School program, please see the article in this newsletter for more details. Next Thursday, we will be hosting school tours at 9 am and 11 am for prospective students and their families. If you have neighbors, friends, or relatives who are considering Hewes, please have them join us for a tour. Families wanting to tour do not need to register, they just need to attend at either time next week.

Basketball practice was canceled this week due to the wind, and it will officially start on Tuesday after school. The remainder of the season will follow the published schedule with practices continuing through the week of February 18th and City Finals on Wednesday, February 26th. We have sporting events and choir performances coming up over the next month; please check the calendar found at the bottom of this newsletter for events, dates, and times.

Please stay connected to Hewes by checking our website and following us on Instagram @heweshighlanders for the latest information and news.
