Driving Along!
We have now sped through the first three weeks of school and are turning into Week 4! At this point, everyone should feel comfortable with their workload and have hopefully found a nice rhythm to their days to get all lessons completed and all standards learned. As always, if you need help on a lesson or skill, please email your teacher!
Go M@VS!

Make-Up Senior Pictures @ MHS-- Wednesday, August 27th at 3:30
Make-up senior pictures will be taken on Wednesday, August 27th at 3:30 at MARYVILLE HIGH SCHOOL. If your student wants to participate in this make-up picture session, please contact ProPhoto at (865) 922-5987. Pictures will be taken in the MHS Auxiliary Gym. Please take Broadway/411 to Curtis Street; then take the first right and park and enter the building there.
Picture Information from Pro Photo---- There is a $35 sitting fee due for all Seniors at the time of photography. This covers your Formal Portraiture (Tux or Drape) and your Cap and Gown session. If you wish to have your portraits taken outdoors in an informal sitting by one of our professionally trained photographers, there will be an additional $25 due at the time of check-in. This includes a change of clothing, and/or any prop (pet, car, sports equipment etc.) that you wish to bring.
Things to considerโฆ.
- Ladies, please bring or wear a tank top, or camisole so the straps can be lowered to wear the black drape we provide. You may bring clothes to change into for your outdoor portraits.
- Itโs a good idea to bring a parent or a friend that can help with hair and the โdetailsโ of your Senior portraits.
- Gentlemen, Pro Photo provides a tuxedo for your formal portraits and a collared shirt with a black tie for your cap and gown portraits so itโs a good idea to wear a T-shirt for the indoor sitting and bring the clothes for your outdoor portraits if desired.
9-12 Ready Graduate Advisor
Maryville City Schools has invested in staff and programs to help students start thinking about what happens after high school and what could be great for each of them. Throughout this year, we will hear more about the Ready Graduate Center and a piece of software called School Links that will assist your student on this journey. Our 9-12 Ready Graduate Advisor is Wes Lambert. Please reach out to him if you have any questions.
Industry 4.0 Information for Sophomores
Each year the Department of Education requires that we notify parents and students of an opportunity for students to earn an Industry 4.0 Distinction during high school. The following letter shares specifics about the Industry 4.0 opportunity. Any Sophomore level student that is interested should contact Mr. Wes Lambert for additional information.

Weekly Progress Reports
Every week, be looking for an email from Maryville Virtual School with the email address of noreply@loopmessaging. There will be an attached Progress Report that shows your student's current grade and attendance in each course. See the example below.
- Yellow- total days absent and number of unexcused absences. These are the numbers that inform the truancy process.
- Blue- courses absences. This number shows you for how many days a student has not completed their work for a specific class.
- Orange- Course % and Course Grade. This shows the current average in % and grade for each course.
If you do not receive the Progress Report email by Thursday, please check the clutter folder of your email. If you still do not see it, please contact MVS to make sure we have your email address listed correctly in PowerSchool.
