Dear Riley Parents, Guardians, and Scholars,

We are 9 instructional days away from Winter Break. This will end the 1st semester of the 2024-25 school year. We encourage our scholars to work hard to secure credits that is a requirement for graduation.

How do I get a credit

  • Scholars must pass 2 of the 3 in semester 1.

    • Q1 and Q2

    • Q1 and Final

    • Q2 and Final

    • If a scholar finishes the semester with an overall average of 60% they are to receive the credit. It does not matter if they did not pass 2 of the 3 in Semester One.

It is imperative that we finish this semester strong. We must be committed to the process of growing daily. Thank you all so much for being Wildcats.

Winter Break starts on December 20, 2024 for our scholars and they return to school on January 6, 2025.

WE WILL CONTINUE RAISE THE BAR AT RILEY!

I am looking forward to working with you and your student as we work toward an academically successful school year. I can promise you the best of myself for your students each and every day. Please do not hesitate to contact me at shenderson2@sbcsc.k12.in.us if you have any questions or concerns during the year.

Our Goals:

1) Get students reading on grade level

2) A 95% attendance rate

3) A 90% graduation rate

We greatly appreciate the value that each and every one of our scholars and families brings to Riley. WE ARE THE PRIDE OF THE SOUTHSIDE! WE ARE #RILEYSTRONG!

Sincerely,

Shawn Henderson
