Welcome back, Boulder Creek Choir!

I am absolutely thrilled to kick off another exciting year of music-making, memory-building, and teamwork! There's something truly magical about coming together to create, laugh, take chances, and discover just how much we can accomplish as a united group.

Every year in choir is a brand new adventure, and I can't wait to dive in! Each group of students brings their own vibrant energy, distinct personalities, and fascinating stories. This year, we will celebrate the individuality that each of you contributes, allowing our music to shine with the true spirit of our program. Together, we'll explore the power of collaboration and the incredible sense of belonging that comes from being part of something bigger than ourselves. Let's make this year unforgettable, filled with creativity and meaningful connections!

To me, choir is about far more than just hitting the right notes. Yes, we will work hard, and yes, we will become stronger musicians, more confident performers, and better singers. We will push ourselves to reach new heights, even if they seem daunting at first. Along the way, we'll learn essential skills like listening, collaborating, leading, encouraging one another, and developing perseverance—all qualities that turn us into dependable team members and friends.

My vision for our choir room is a space where every student feels valued, seen, and heard. In room 132, every voice counts—not just the one you use while singing, but also the ideas, personalities, and energy you each bring to our program.

This year is bound to be filled with incredible moments! Of course, we'll have our share of challenging rehearsals, mistakes, long days, wrong notes, and maybe even a few jaw-dropping moments where I'll humorously stare in disbelief at the choir! But let's remember, these experiences are all part of our journey! We don't need to be perfect. What we do need is to show up, work hard, support each other, and grow together.

I challenge each of you to take bold steps this year. Connect with someone new, sing out with confidence, ask questions, volunteer for leadership roles, and lift up a friend who may need a little encouragement. Celebrate each other's victories and embrace the possibility of failure as a stepping stone to success.

Remember, the best choirs aren't formed by just a few standout singers; they thrive when everyone values the success of their fellow members as much as their own.

We have an amazing year ahead filled with new music, performances, traditions, challenges, competitions, trips, friendships, and moments we haven't even dreamed of yet!

Students, let's unleash your voices, energy, and unique gifts! Together, we will give our best for one another as we flourish side by side.

kicked off the year… RETREAT STYLE! 💥

On Friday, August 7th, our choir council organized an evening fun of music enrichment, bonding, games, laughter, and pure choir magic. This was an incredible opportunity for our students to connect and set the tone for an unforgettable year. 🎤💫

Special thank you to our Choir Council for all of their hard work in planning and preparing the retreat. Also, a huge thank you to our booster club for our meal and desserts provided for our students during the event.

🎶 Heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Gagon, our wonderful NAU student teacher, and the exceptional Honor Choir on their debut performance of the year! 🎶

The Honor Choir has put in countless hours preparing to launch the year with flair. They were truly privileged to kick off the Freshman Assembly with a stunning rendition of the National Anthem, warmly welcoming our newest Jaguars to the Boulder Creek family.

What a beautiful way to usher in the 2026–2027 school year! We are overflowing with pride for their dedication and enthusiasm, and we can't wait to see what musical magic they will create throughout the year! Their talent and teamwork shine brightly, setting a vibrant tone for all the exciting performances to come. ❤️🖤🎶

Mark your Calendars for our annual parent meeting. August 11th, you will have two opportunities to attend the informative meeting. 5:30 PM or 7:30 PM

At this important meeting, our Booster Club will provide parents with everything they need to know for the upcoming school year—specifically from a parent’s perspective. This includes key information to help support your student’s success in choir, such as:

• Volunteer opportunities
• Fundraising expectations
• Performance attire requirements
• Event and travel logistics - California
• Communication tools and calendars
• Fair Share Fee expectations by choir

Whether you're a returning family or brand new to the program, this meeting will ensure you're well-informed and ready for a great year in choir!

With the new school year underway and lots of singers filling the choir room each day, we could use some help stocking up on BOXES OF TISSUES!

If you are able to donate a box (or a few!), we would greatly appreciate it. Donations can be sent to school with your student and dropped off in the choir room.

Every little bit helps keep our singers—and their noses—performance ready! 😂🎶

Addy is this year’s Executive Morale Chair, and she is helping make sure our choir family takes care of more than just the music—we need to take care of ourselves, too!

At our first Choir Retreat, Addy shared some helpful tips for staying healthy and taking care of our voices throughout the year. From hydration and vocal health to rest, wellness, and managing stress, Addy’s Dragon Care will be a place to find quick reminders that help us stay healthy, positive, and ready to soar!
