Dear Smith Stallion Parents and Students,

This last quarter is going to be busy and we are looking forward to finishing the year strong.

BOOK FAIR:

The Scholastic Book Fair will be at TGS beginning tomorrow. Students will shop on the day they go to library class. Mrs. Abernathy will also provide additional times during the day for students who are unable to shop during their assigned library time.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION:

Kindergarten Registration for next year continues. If you haven't already, please register online at http://www.sdale.org/page/enroll. If you need assistance registering, please come to school and we will be happy to help you register your child for Kindergarten. If your child is currently enrolled in the Springdale Public Schools Pre-K, you do not need to complete the registration online. Your child is already registered for Kindergarten. Please do not hesitate to call the office for assistance.

PTA FUNDRAISER:

Our PTA is holding a fundraising event to raise money for an electronic sign to replace our existing marquee sign at the corner of 40th Street and Falcon Road. Thank you in advance for helping your child participate in the fundraising event and for supporting our school. Reminder: Your child should return their order form to the school office on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. If you have any questions regarding the fundraiser, please feel free to contact us and we will get you in touch with the appropriate PTA member to get your questions answered. STATE TESTING: ACT ASPIRE

Students in grades 3rd-5th will take ACT Aspire the week of April 25th-29th. This is the test that they have preparing for all year! Testing will begin each morning at 8:00 am. It is important that your child is at school each day and arrives on time. Please ensure your child is ready for testing each day by having them get plenty of rest and a good breakfast (a free breakfast is served each morning at school).

The students have worked hard this year and they are all ready to do their best. Our teachers are ready to have their students show what they have learned.

STATE TESTING: MAP

Students in Kindergarten-5th grade will take the MAP assessment soon. Please see the schedule below so that you know when your child is scheduled to test. It is important that your child is present and arrives at school on time each day. Thank you in advance for setting your child up to do their best.
