SCAPE Information 2025-2026

I hope you all have had a wonderful summer! I am looking forward to rolling into a new school year with you all (and welcoming our new families to Star).

Last spring, our SCAPE staff took time to examine and review our current practices and procedures to determine areas for improvement on student engagement and safety. Over the summer, our SCAPE team have been reorganizing systems and structures to better support our TK-5th grade students.

For families returning to SCAPE this fall, you may notice some of the structural changes we have put into place to ensure student safety and engagement:

• Smaller class sizes/Cohorts broken apart by ages (TK/K Cohort, 1st/2nd grade Cohort, 3rd grade Cohort, 4th grade Cohort and 5th grade Cohort)
• Cohorts assigned to various classrooms to allow for more targeted academic support and enrichment opportunities
• Use of iPads to check students in and out of the program, which will allow for accurate time management and student accountability
• Additional staff members hired to ensure student safety and support
• Updated Handbook with updated procedures and expectations for our families and students
  
• Reorganization of supervision structure

As you return to (or join) SCAPE, please be patient and flexible as we roll out these changes. The intention is to provide the most quality care, supervision, engagement and academic support for all students.

We work hard to provide you quality care at the lowest rate possible. Given the additional staffing and increase in operating costs, the following rates will go into effect on 8/13/2025.

$12 per hour* (Up to 2 hours/day.)

$36 per day (3-6 hrs.)

$70 per day (6+ hrs)

*We charge by 15 minute increments throughout the first 2 hours @ $3.00 per 15 mins. As soon as you go past the 15 minute mark, you will be charged for another 15 minutes.

We are excited to announce that SCAPE registration for the 2025–2026 school year will open on Monday, July 28th, 2025, and will close on Friday, August 8th, 2025.

To complete your child’s enrollment, please submit the following forms:

Please note that any registrations submitted after August 8th may take longer to process and may result in delayed start dates. We highly encourage all families to complete both forms as soon as possible to ensure a smooth enrollment process. Should we have more students enroll than we currently we have space for, we will move to a waitlist.
