Parking Policy
The use of the school parking lot is a privilege and is provided for our student's convenience. Student parking at WMHS is by permit only. Students may apply for a parking permit with a $30 fee.
We have about 60 permits left for the year.
Click here to view the full student parking policy and to apply for a student permit.

Update from WMHS's Harlow Library
WMHS is committed to bringing unique learning opportunities to our students and we are pleased to introduce a new, free reading service providing digital books through Sora by Overdrive, the student reading app.
Why Sora by Overdrive? The collection of titles in Sora is an extension of WMHS’s physical library, only it’s in an app with 24/7 access to ebooks and audiobooks. It’s convenient for students to check out titles at home, on the weekends or during school breaks with no worry about misplacing a book or running up late fees – these digital titles automatically return at the end of the lending period!
Sora can help students of all ages read more and improve comprehension. Struggling or reluctant readers, learning-challenged, second language learners, and gifted readers can all benefit from this service.
- Enrich vocabulary and improve comprehension and pronunciation
- Introduce students to books above their reading level
- Teach critical listening
- Help busy kids find time to read
- Incentivize reading with fun avatars and achievements
Whether a student’s interest lies in classics for required reading, or the latest graphic novels or young adult fiction, they can find it all in Sora!
How can students access Sora by Overdrive?
1. Visit https://soraapp.com/welcome/login/202898/ils/woburn/form/Woburn%20High or download the Sora by Overdrive App from the App Store or the Google Play Store
2. Students will login with their School email credentials
3. Enjoy anytime, anywhere on your computer, smartphone, or tablet.
For phone or tablet devices, download the Sora by Overdrive App from the App Store or the Google Play Store.

Attendance Policy
Any student who accumulates 7 unexcused absences in a class that meets daily, or 4 unexcused absences in a class that meets every other day, is subject to failing the course for that term.
Example: A student who reaches their 7th unexcused absence in a daily course will fail for that term.
Attendance is calculated on a term-by-term basis. There is no carryover of absences between terms. All students will begin each new term with zero absences.
Exception for Seniors – Term 4: Due to the shortened six-week marking period in Term 4 for seniors, they are allowed a maximum of 4 unexcused absences, regardless of the course schedule.
Students who fail a course due to attendance will receive a term percentage grade of 55.
The following are considered excused absences
Medical reasons (with doctor’s note/documentation)
Religious holiday (with prior written notification from guardian)
College Visit (with documentation) and previously approved by administration.
Official appointments (such as driver’s tests, etc with documentation)
Funerals/Bereavement
Legal matters (with documentation)
Other emergencies (at the discretion of school administration)
