Navigate 360 - New Entry Procedures Navigate 360 - New Entry Procedures

WSSD has implemented a new visitor management system, Navigate 360. Unfortunately, data from the previous system is not transferable, so all visitors will be required to scan their driver's license for their first visit to the building. All visitors should report directly to the main office and produce a valid, government-issued ID to receive a visitor badge. Upon exiting the building, please check out with the main office and dispose of your visitor badge in the trash.

In addition to scanning your license and receiving a visitor badge, volunteer clearances are also required for all visitors. Please click here for details on how to complete that requirement. Our school district is committed to providing a safe learning environment for all and we thank you for your cooperation!

Instrumental Demonstration

Students in Grades 3-5 attended a brief instrumental demonstration earlier today. WSSD music teachers performed each of the instruments that students can choose to learn and practice with throughout the school year.

The instrumental demonstration is always a wonderful event that highlights the musical talents of the K-12 WSSD music staff.

WSSD Long-Range Capital Plan Information WSSD Long-Range Capital Plan Information

We’re excited to share some important news about the future of our schools. On June 18, the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District Board of School Directors approved the scope for the district’s comprehensive long-range capital plan that will guide investment in our facilities for years to come.

An overview of the plan can be accessed through the following link. We encourage you to take a look and help share it through newsletters, on social media, or in conversations with neighbors so more members of our community can stay informed.

This plan focuses on three big goals:

  • Keeping our schools warm, safe, and dry for all students and staff.
  • Making sure our buildings are the right size to support today’s enrollment and future growth.
  • Creating spaces that meet the needs of our educational programs so every student can thrive.

The plan was shaped through several years of study, community input, and a careful look at our enrollment projections, building conditions, and overall capacity.

You can learn more about the WSSD Capital Plan here.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our schools.

Volunteering at NPE Volunteering at NPE

Volunteer clearances are required for anyone volunteering to work with our students, whether that is in school, on a field trip, at an athletic event/practice, etc. Essentially, everyone who is volunteering with our students or in a school is required to obtain volunteer clearances. This includes but is not limited to adults who regularly volunteer but are under the supervision of a staff member.

Information about how to obtain clearances and how to submit them are available on the district's website, here: Volunteer Information & Guidelines - Wallingford-Swarthmore School District
